I'm sinking into my chair.
I grin towards the sky pleading please.
I can't recall much of last nite and blackouts are shading my eyes.

A letter from miles away brings something you gave me with nothing more to say to me.
You won't be there for me and I won't be waiting, just leaving when you arrive.

Take care, the east coast is calling me and i'm answering with smiles.
Just let me finish this one last drink then I'll be gone.

I wish I could say the same, but these late nites are leaving me wasted.
