Trying To Never Catch Up

It isn't how you feel,
It's sure not how you see it,
But everything you once decided,
Now has been defeated.
And even if you tried, you would be denied.

If you don't say a word,
If you don't bat an eye:
Nothing else could be more pleasing.
I need you not to cry.
I promise you I'll be that someone that you see.

We all get weary sometimes,
Helpless and all shock up inside
We make the best, we move on.
We hope the rest can, too.
I know its tough to heed these apologies,
But for now though I've got to leave you behind.
