Nothing Lasts

Another leaf falls off the trees, and what do we have to say?
A drifting wind gives back what time has taken away,
you say it's all forgotten and tomorrow's going to be the same,
it is all a piece of the puzzle, another face without a name

Nothing lasts forever, I try but it doesn't seem to show,

I guess I care to much, because it meens so much to me,
I tried to take my time, but it feels like time has taken me

Nothing ever changes, but I know that I'm not the same today,
for years I have fallen back on what I learned yesterday,
at least I know that I can still smile, because tomorrow's going to be the same,
and even though the sun will not shine, I can not help but love the rain.
