someone take me far, far, far away
i will be well behaved
on the long, long drive
wake me when we arrive

while you were away
talking to submarines
i built this strange machine
in your mother's rose garden

a knot of your hair
clogging my shower drain
made me think of you
and my purple veins
run parallel to the truth

they held me by my legs
