Serenity

We eat, we sleep, we dream, and die.
But that's not all there is to life.
I'm done getting caught up in time.
I've got regrets, but that's just fine.
At least they're in the past and yet, I don't stress over negatives.
Let's say today was the end, at least I'd die feeling content, oh yeah.

I'm happy with the life I led.

Keep me while I’m down, cause nothing hurts me now.
The harder your fall, the thicker your wall to keep people you hate out.

I haven’t shed a tear, I haven’t cried in years.
I’m the best man I can be.
And only cause I live in fear of dying a coward.
But I am a fighter.

I’ll fight for my friends, I’ll fight for what’s right.
I’ll fight for control of my own life.
It might sound stupid, but you don’t get it.
I put the past behind me. It’s not that easy.

I am now twice the man I used to be.
Open up, look around, serenity.

I'm happy with the life I led.
