A Sight Too Short

We're following blindly
And there is no turning back
Each step is uncertain
Are we in this together?
With each day we drift further from truth than the last
A voice distorted
Echoing throughout the darkness
Every night underneath the illuminate stars
I'm tearing out the pages
That don't make any sense
Thrown into the arms of someone never seen
Misinterpretations hidden away from prying eyes
