The moon hides behind rainclouds as streetlights illuminate the night.
It's been pouring for hours, and I've made it a habit to soak it all in.
My thoughts drown in their own dreams as i slip on the hope of tonight.
I slip and fall but you're not there to catch me.
As my head hits the pavement,
I lay there dreaming of you.
I watched myself hold you until the slow-coming day,
and at dawn reinforce my grip.
Walking hand-in-hand into the rain,
and as i die i dream of you...
