Looking Back

When I look back on the things I've seen
The countless faces and the places I've been
I often wonder if it's come to an end
What kind of life is waiting round the bend

When I'm gone will anyone care?
Will all the things I cherish still be there?
Who bears the torch we must leave behind
Never ending questions filling my mind

Now looking ahead
I know I should be glad

The memories seem to fill my days
The future's lurking in a crowdy haze
I like to think it's all in my control
But this uncertainty is taking it's toll
