She dreams of ladies whose babies have rabies

she dreams of e. coli, fungus, and pink eye

she dreams of crying, of lying, of flying and dying

she dreams about emergencies and impossible pregnancies

As I sleep in the corner she watches me dream
she can't imagine all the places I've imagined we've been
i see us together for each waking moment
