Light

Softly, where a
Petal falling sings,
Caught aloft on
Fairy's golden wings

Just a slight
Transgression in
The night, so long
Been not offended
By the light

Slowly to the earth it settles,
All amidst the other petals

Holding close to stay and stay,
'Till all about it is the day

Shepard of the night!
Long awaited, come the light
