I Get Too Much Sleep Songtext
I get too much sleep
and by too much, I mean not enough
and by sleep, I mean you
and you ask which way I swing
but I mostly just ride my bike down private streets
to get a sense of what private life is like
you draw and I write down everything
and I liked you better
when you were addicted
to staying up all night and not making children
and I hold your hair
as you throw up your hands
because all of my friends are just waiting to be parents
and to settle the well planned roads in this town
call me crazy, but i would rather settle up
than settle down
and you only have to drive slower than
the fastest car on the road
not to caught up by the policeman
because guilt and innocence is just a matter of occupation
and by too much, I mean not enough
and by sleep, I mean you
and you ask which way I swing
but I mostly just ride my bike down private streets
to get a sense of what private life is like
you draw and I write down everything
and I liked you better
when you were addicted
to staying up all night and not making children
and I hold your hair
as you throw up your hands
because all of my friends are just waiting to be parents
and to settle the well planned roads in this town
call me crazy, but i would rather settle up
than settle down
and you only have to drive slower than
the fastest car on the road
not to caught up by the policeman
because guilt and innocence is just a matter of occupation
