We walk the path of self-destruction,
Hiding behind mortal distractions,
Failing to see a deeper meaning,
Believing only that at face value

Simplified conceptions of existence,
Shallow lives led for hollow purpose,
Destruction of truth, ruination of spirit,
Poisoning of the earth, defilement of life

Obsession with power and wealth,
The foundation of cancerous hate,
Rapid decline of reason and veracity,
The cause of a perpetual state of fear
