The Speakerfire

This dead city lights my dim way.
Bodies litter the path I walk.
I joined this choir, to sing on fire.

We've lived through our failures,
and somehow held strong.
This world is fictional,
but we still know who we are.

I've tried holding my breath every night.
But I cant help screaming myself to sleep.
My fears surround, they weigh me down.
