Gold Lions Songtext
(don't let them begin or you may never walk a better road again)
this morning i felt like a rolling cart built of wood from the forest
where i first discovered you
and a lazy afternoon, the part where you wrote on a card
that baby's airway isn't doing so well anymore
i woke up rise n shine, imagine my surprise when i realized
the hours had felt like days
i woke up rise n shine, imagine my surprise when i realized
that nothing is as important as they say
well maybe we're all a little weary
but that isn't an excuse
in mourning i left like a little boy, discouraged by everything i swore
that i would never do again
i drove you home and i know why, we sat down and our friendship died
on the pavement next to my car
a story about a raft, i think she knew who were the cats
i think she understood
and a boat full of cats, it is no different than a raft
full of vegetables to some people
well maybe we're all a little hungry
but that isn't an excuse
this morning i felt like a rolling cart built of wood from the forest
where i first discovered you
and a lazy afternoon, the part where you wrote on a card
that baby's airway isn't doing so well anymore
i woke up rise n shine, imagine my surprise when i realized
