Foreign Ambassador Next Door

well just the other day i got a new neighbor
somebody told me he was a foreign ambassador
makes me kinda proud that i'm living next door
the flags on the car i did not recognize
and the color of his skin, i'd never seen it with my eyes
and i don't want to look dull or uninformed
so i didn't come right out and knock on his door

where you from man? i don't know
is it from heaven above or hell below
where you from man? i can't say
is it china or l.a.?
maybe peru or bombay?
where you from man? i don't know

i finally went over to ask you but you were dead
some secret assassins had blown off your head
i'd stick around to look for clues
but i don't want anyone to think i was the one killed you
cause it wasn't me
