Childish Eyes

waking up to yet another day
just to watch it waste away
can't I just go back to sleep today?
but it won't make everything ok
don't you hate how old friends have to change?
i don't wanna deal with that
selfishness takes over people's brains
from what i see it gets worse with age

childish eyes, I still have mine. where did yours go?
they rolled back inside! where'd that kid go? no one knows

everyday i try to pass the time
or just sit down on the chair
is this anyway to live my life?
look for someone but there's no one there
i may not be mr. popular
