Taking My Turn Songtext

A life I have begun, a life that's slowly is turning. My conscience is caving, my inside is burning. My mind is a railroad swerving and bending. I'm dying for hope to hide from this place and I break apart from a sin; I'm still breaking in. The tears, they have fallen, and they've broken up the pavement. Heavy is my heart and it's weighing me down. I hold on to my friends as enemies' approach. They're closing in. Crying and praying and holding to this hope. I reach for a hand to hold. The fingers are warm and the face I see begins to take form Gripping me tight I stand in a shadow. My conscience is clearing, my soul you are healing. I have brought myself into your thoughts and began a journey alone into the unknown. Tried walking in your shoes, tried holding on with nothing to lose.
