A Wish For Change

something will bring
bring us back us back
to rest assured in shadows
we cup our hands in delight
not even thirsty, but filling
our stomachs in vain
we cant seem to see
the gilded cell
that hides our pain
once again we move to think
that reality is only in stories
and pages turn time
i might as well turn my head
but i still feel the bell toll sweet
but in sadness we leave you
to face another day
assuming things will change
