Motorcades Songtext
Motorcades don't mean anything
unless they're traveling behind your body
Scribble down the route you take
to find a place worth living
Choices come to be your friend
if it's the only one you're given
So many times I've tried to guess
but ended up so far away
And in the fields I find shelter from the scarce
they surface questions I have long laid on myself
I hid the picture of my grandma's silhouette
cause those were better times--no one would say the best
And I wrote my mother several letters just last month
but threw them out as soon as I had sobered up
cause all my problems are self-inflicted or bad luck
I just need my father's pride
I just need my father's pride
I just need my father's pride
Won't that be enough?
unless they're traveling behind your body
Scribble down the route you take
to find a place worth living
Choices come to be your friend
if it's the only one you're given
So many times I've tried to guess
but ended up so far away
And in the fields I find shelter from the scarce
they surface questions I have long laid on myself
I hid the picture of my grandma's silhouette
cause those were better times--no one would say the best
And I wrote my mother several letters just last month
but threw them out as soon as I had sobered up
cause all my problems are self-inflicted or bad luck
I just need my father's pride
I just need my father's pride
I just need my father's pride
Won't that be enough?
