it seems to me that we're two of a kind.

pale and stubborn and determined to survive

these cold and lonely nights.



and yet the timing never seems to be right.

i see your breath hanging in the air

every time you say goodnight.



and your eyes are as blue as mine.

but your shine will hide high behind

overcast skies.



and our cloudy past full of lies

that i'm eager to leave behind

buried in the ice.

i'm a glacier.
