I kept the light on, so I could see when the rain came
Set all my times, there's no chance for forgetting
I've got my alarm to wake me up,
Let my calendar set me up,
But I was honestly upset when I saw
the sun was coming out today.

Talking is through waves and pieces
My life is projected on a screen
Contact and gestures are secondary communication
All my senses are fleeting
I'll need a gouge to know my heart is still beating
Keep me safe in this box of steel,

My arms, my feet, my voice
