Since I was a kid

I've watched what I've said

My tongue's cut and swollen

From all the times I've bit

I held everything in

Played dumb

I did

Now everyone's sayin'

She's so out of it

But I know much more than I let on



They talk behind my back

I don't react

The world is just a train

And I'm the tracks

But when they least expect

I'll speak at last

They'll all turn and ask

“How did you know that?”

And I'll say, “I know much more than I let on”
