Idared Kissing Breath Songtext

we'd ride our bikes down the street with cards in our spokes bikes sound like airplanes. i'd close my eyes and pretend i'd fly... and whisper to myself i'm glad you are my brother. we'd bend like leaves in the summer wind torn from apple trees with carved-in confessions. we breathe bold and sip the sweetest air float directionless over chalkhearts on playground walls with that certain certainty that we got a home. i never will forget her fresh kissing breath that healed our scrapped knees from bike accidents. i never will forget the enchantment in her eyes when she sung us to sleep so gracefully. summers fell through us in a single breath when we were little boys and all our fears were wrapped in blankets that she spread out for us. how easily she made us laugh and how i wish i could make her smile. i never will forget her fresh kissing breath and keep these memories as they're still gold to my heart.
