The Great Might-Have-Been

Living in the shadow of the one I could have been
Bumbling, Disorganized. I could never win.
Until I saw I chance to fight
For what I felt was the right
Even though I found out
About the prophecy and doubt
Around it
But I won't quit

Now I know
It could have been me
To take down the Dark Lord
It could have been me
To be the subject of this folklore
But even though I don't have his scar
I can still push myself far
I can be more then the great Might-Have-Been

I joined the ranks of the movement
Tried to work hard for improvement
I kept raising up and going on
And even when they broke my wand
I couldn't let my friends down
I couldn't let my grandmother down
I couldn't let my parents down
I might have been world-renown

But I know

I had to take over the fight when Harry was gone
Hidden away but still always holding on
When it came the time to fight
I know I could prove I was right
Led the others to dual
So, I could help save my school
My confidence was too strong to bend
