Alone All Day

i was meant to be alone all day
sitting in a room and out of the way but somewhere out of time i found myself here
maybe i was lost, maybe i was scared so i packed up my bags and put them in the car
and stood there underneath the gently weeping stars
even to this day, i can't believe i stayed
maybe i was blind, maybe just afraid still
silent now outside your door and in between the bedroom walls
how long i wait just standing there,
when all it takes is all i fear
one day i might replace the borrowed time
til then you'll stay a part of us
one day i might forget the day we met til then you'll stay a part of us
