Kindred Spirits Songtext
Kindred Spirit:
Well the poor soak in woe in their broken ghettos
can't find the strength to side-step the vicious cycle
so they rot on their couches and the sick rot in their beds
they're just waiting to die
did they forget how to live while they're still breathing?
don't they know they're still breathing?
well God caught a glimpse of this sickening end
and he wept for his children so short-sided
and you and I were a single tear
just falling from heaven through the atmosphere
and we made a vow that we'd never let go
but the splash broke our grip washed us to opposite shores
sometimes my head forgets what my heart cannot
cause I can't place your face, but I sure feel the loss
so i'll scour this berg until my mortal end
when I can find my spirit
my kindred
I don't know you, but I miss you
I don't know you, but I love you
I don't know you, but I miss you
I don't know you, but I love you
And i'll never stop searching for you
Well the poor soak in woe in their broken ghettos
can't find the strength to side-step the vicious cycle
so they rot on their couches and the sick rot in their beds
they're just waiting to die
did they forget how to live while they're still breathing?
don't they know they're still breathing?
