Where Did We Go Wrong?

my mother didn't know about it, my father pretended not to see
i only half tried to hide it, until the day that it came to claim me
and now, no one can save them. and now, good bye.
my failure, as it's always been: i could live a little longer in this prison
put away my rage for another day.
