Compressor/Expander

I walked alone amongst the people staring off into the sea
I watched the children blowing bubbles
(soapy water that's compressing and then expanding)
and pretty soon I have somehow forgotten all of my worries

I've slept among the knotted pines
on mountains high between the clouds
I've sat and watched the sleeping animals breathing
(their hides compressing and expanding)
