Hidden Vices Songtext

In our little world each day
We live we deal with things we call addictions
Sever, oh how we crave the substance
We feel the need and its presence to survive

I have no will to rise from this hell
I never wanted to become a slave to this master
But as I look upon what I've created I realize ruin
My sights bring me great pain and grief, it wont release

So many are they, coming without notice
Believe me this is not what I wanted
Bleeding slowly, digressing, feeling the same
Felling we have a handle on our hidden vices

Taking steps to overcome this monster
But its power is great and drags me back
Worse off then when I started
I want to get out but I'm ashamed and fear what you might think

Even if I were to over come get the demon out of my life
The battle lasts an eternity and I struggle every day
Flesh is weak, and will can be strong but its mind over matter
I live for the day and go through the motions, forgive me if I fall

So many are they, coming without notice
Believe me this is not, not what I wanted
Blinding slowly, digressing, feeling the same
Felling we have a handle on our hidden vices
