Porch Destruction

they're raising up the porch today

the city's familiar shade of grey

when light is right it looks silver

but only lasts till we shiver

our gazing spot will fall

with 2X4's



and all the neighborhood will watch

but they don't even know our names

and we'll be gone as fast as we can walk
