Morning Light

I slept as long as I could,
had my breakfast early,
dreamed looking at shining trees
in the morning light.
I listened to your message.
Read junk papers, mail,
and all my books.
I walked away till I fell apart.
I drank all the water I could
to flush down my clumpsy thoughts. Everything was talking to me.


There was something in the trees,
there was something in the water.
And there was something
in the morning light.
And something in you.
