Sorority Girl Poetry Songtext

Another shot, I think,
Should numb this pain.
If I begin to sink
What is there at stake
Let me medicate

Releasing every breath
Like a pocket full of change.
The sky's not hard to catch
If I levitate,
It's a revelation.

It's the hard part of the night...

It's always been easy for me
With a morning cup of coffee.
Go ahead, throw your hair back,
And smoke your mid-day cigarette.

Talk to your friends tomorrow.
Inconsistency and love won't mix.
I'm not another image for you to borrow.
Broken passion is hard to fix.
I don't need,
I don't need,
I don't need
To read
Your sorority girl poetry.
Your poetry.

Another shot, I think,
Should melt away
The miles of regret
I leave in my wake.
She's about to break.

Avoiding every breath,
I fight to stay composed.
In my hands I hold
What she has needed most:
Her lover's ghost.

It's the hard part of the night...

It's always been easy for me
With a morning cup of coffee.
Go ahead, throw your hair back,
And smoke your mid-day cigarette.

Talk to your friends tomorrow.
Inconsistency and love won't mix.
I'm not another image for you to borrow.
Broken passion is hard to fix.
I don't need,
I don't need,
I don't need
To read
Your sorority girl poetry.
Your poetry.
Your poetry.
Your poetry.
