Past Mistakes

I'm trying to move ahead without thinking of what I left behind
But it doesn't do me any good
There's pieces of the past that come up and make it hard on me now
What's done is done I must move on

Things are much different now--those days are gone
We're spending too much time--with what went wrong
I've been in debt from past mistakes for far too long

I've learned from my mistakes the best I can the best that I know how
There's really nothing more I can do
There's so many things that bring us down bad memory lane
That always gets the best of me and you
