I can't remember a time when i felt like
everything and everyone around me was in place
it hurts to learn the truth about yourself
when you've seen something else for so long

there is no fate
but what we make

old habits always seem to die hard in me
now i understand what struggle means
because its always been inside of me
breaking the cycle isn't
as easy as it appears to be

for a long time i always wondered why me?
always thought i had it so hard
but all along it was up to me
in this life i've learned nothing is free
