She Said, Songtext

The wind drew thinly from the west.
Looking for the thunder.
Jet trails across the northern sky
then slowly shears apart.

Shaking in the morning dew
you ever really fall apart?
I explained it perfectly to you
but still you walked away.
...I love everybody here.

The ghosts rose slowly from the basement hall
looking for the thunder.
Faces of the dead slowly drink to life.
Lift your glasses high.

30 hearty cheers,
a thundering of tears.
Fight and love and see the pain
before we disappear...
...I love everybody here.

One shard of sun still glistens in the lacquer
and slices thin the tightened throat of laughter
A wave of cold rose spineward through the joker
and from her hand
-the floor -the glass -would shatter
and fall into the Intersteer.
A place that is not here.
She bundles up her A.D.I.D.A.S.
and opens up her hair.

She opens up her hair with her hands
motioning towards us all.
She's looking sort of back and forth.
(She says) SLOW DOWN!
We're on our way down...

See the lonely man out on the waves.
Steering away form the land.
I know that he dreams of more innocent times,
wishing he had a far simpler mind.
And over and over I told her- I told her.
i told her to see me with clear eyes
not blue eyes.

One by one the ghosts they rise unseen they pass
right through us all and...leave.
