a lot of things have happened
since you've been way
summer changed to autumn
it got cold today

the trees along the highway
are turning red and gold
I made a lot of money
with some paintings that I sold

I'm going down to mexico
a couple of friends and me
to the silver cities
for a change of scenery

in our last conversation
sorry I sounded down
it's just that ugly jealousy
I get when you're not around
