I can say sorry all I want
But you want me to turn away
Not look you in the face
Your expression says enough

Can you ever let me say sorry
The more I tried the worse it got
I was doing my very best
Giving the advice told to me

The words of another
Flowing over my lips
The experiences they had
The knowledge they hold

I wish I could say something
Something smart something smooth
Something that won't hurt
Something better then flawed

Remember when I didn't screw up
Last autumn before the leaves turned
That brown you hate, the green faded
When they fell, when I screwed up

Another year will pass
The green will return
But I will not
