Greed Is the Advent Songtext
Some time passed, our nets cast in the sea, and we reeled in fish of all different kinds.
Oh, our wealth was teaming, then I heard a man scream,
Its mine, all mine! and I looked to see.
He wore an ugly face, and I felt such disgrace that this man was in a crew such as mine.
I could see in his eyes, a greed that had turned desire into need.
They burned of fire, stoves with golden logs to feed. Such mutiny I've never seen.
And I learned, each man is a captain, his life is his ship it goes where he leads.
I said to my boson, Hear me when I say, this man is a ship of ghosts and tall tales,
behind his mask is a pale brittle skull, nothing more. And with that I left a note on his door.
