Dreams Of Japan

tonight i had a dream of japan

we were walking through the grass hand-in-hand

and i wondered

how long it'd last



we laid flat on our backs

looking at the sky



we forgot all of our troubles

and didn't wonder why



the cherry blossoms were in bloom

and they were beautiful as they fell dancing next to you



the sun began to drift to the west

it started getting cool and we could see our breath



but suddenly the sky

filled with fireworks



we heard music from a festival

a mile away



we decided to walk there

along the bay



the colors and sounds were surreal

and i wasn't bothered

by the spring night's chill



your warm presence couldn't elude me

it seemed that everything

was meant to be



and then we kissed
