To The Sunrise

Let’s move to a place where it’s always summer
And walk in the rain
We’ll never get cold

Let’s stand in once place next to one another
And sing songs to the sunrise
As it unfolds

Let’s go to the courthouse
Waltz down the aisle
And say let us sign
They can’t change a thing about us
But maybe we can change their minds

Let’s name all our children after our favorite poems
And never teach them to behave
In a socio-normative way

Let’s wave a flag of peace
Over our front door
And leave the porch light on,
Always leave the porch light on

Let’s go to the courthouse
