Kate Cleaver's House Songtext
I shave myself with blunt razors,
My clothes they do me no favours.
I go to a restaurant where the skirts on the waitresses are far too short.
I throw salt over my shoulder, for good luck 'cause now I walk over,
To Kate Cleavers house to tell her that I want her back with me.
Never had the strength to look her in the eye.
Now I've lost my patience and I'm telling her why.
Monday she works for the national health,
Tuesday she works for herself.
Wednesday she went to the pictures with Katherine,
Thursday with everyone else.
Friday she drank herself into a stupor,
And slept through to Saturday night.
But Sunday for all the day, she would be mine.
All I need are the drugs, and a sharp attitude.
She's got holes in her tights, and holes in her story,
But I approve.
All I need is a dentist, to fix up my teeth,
She wears a frown but there's a smile I can see underneath.
Never had the strength to look her in the eye.
Now I've lost my patience and I'm telling her why.
Monday she works for the national health,
Tuesday she works for herself.
Wednesday she went to the pictures with Katherine,
