I’ve been reading up
On magazines.
Lately I’ve been trying not to lie.
Now I know the difference,
Between life and a movie screen,
But that should come as no surprise.

I’ve been dabbling in decency.
Since then my world has opened wide,
But I’m not quite free

And they all sound so sad.
