Roberta Songtext

Roberta tells her story
How she comes from Cincinnati
And now she's stuck behind the counter
Of this dive in Barcelona
And she talks about her travels
All the places that she's seen
She's 23 and likes to be
Surviving on her own
And she's been around the world
A time or two enough to know
That when you're holding on to nothing
It's so much harder to let go

And we're so far from home
We're so far from home

And just like that the fireworks are raining
And just like that the sky explodes
And just like that the night extends its invitation
And just like that the story goes

And now I'm talking to Roberta
Telling her I come from Atlanta
And we're gonna go out dancing
On my first night in Catalunya
And now we're walking by the harbor
Having a laugh and sharing tales
And we're practicing our Spanish
Over a box of Don Simon
And I'll be leaving in a few days
On a train to Salamanca
But for now I'm with Roberta
On this beach in Barcelona

And we're so far from home
We're so far from home

And just like that the fireworks are raining
And just like that the sky explodes
And just like that the night extends its invitation
And just like that the story goes
