Is it really air we're breathing?
cause it tastes more like regret
growing older but never growing up
along with every tired breath.

So why take care of our lungs
if we're already at our last gasp?
let's not watch the days pass by
from behind this suffocating mask.

It may be common but it's odd as hell
this broken symmetry
to look into a mirror and not recognise
the one staring back at me.

Way too much thinking
when all we need is a place in a new land
where unlike in this world
decision and decisiveness go always hand in hand.
