Extended Autumn Songtext
This half moon illuminates leaves
Swirls of color glow
December has fallen on us
But birds still fly and call
Baseball has been over long now
The Red Sox lost again
But still no sign of winter
Maybe spring is early
This is our extended autumn
Winter seems to be on the run
Now someone seems to have found him
It's been dark now for a week
And snow falls up to my knees now
All I do is sleep
And I look out my window
White branches; no leaves
Well, I'll just pray for spring, right
It's never been this cold
Goodbye to extended autumn
Please, come back
What did you run from
What did you run from
Goodbye to extended autumn
Please, come back
What did you run from
Please, come back
What did you run from
What did you run from
What did you run from
Swirls of color glow
December has fallen on us
But birds still fly and call
Baseball has been over long now
The Red Sox lost again
But still no sign of winter
Maybe spring is early
This is our extended autumn
Winter seems to be on the run
Now someone seems to have found him
It's been dark now for a week
And snow falls up to my knees now
All I do is sleep
And I look out my window
White branches; no leaves
Well, I'll just pray for spring, right
It's never been this cold
Goodbye to extended autumn
Please, come back
What did you run from
What did you run from
Goodbye to extended autumn
Please, come back
What did you run from
Please, come back
What did you run from
What did you run from
What did you run from
