Return to Ice

The first fire was the brightest,
when the world was free from light...
Alone in a vast darkness---
the ignite of all envy...
It's embers spiraled skyward,
to reveal the hallowed heights...
And shame upon the lowly,
for their dwarfed spirit...
That which long aspired,
from the depths of existence,
Found this flame, awareness,
could be kindled from the first...
A firestorm soon hailed,
across the surface of the black---
And the primal.. shadow.. became conscious...
Knotting in shape.. gathering wrath..
mastering the infernal form...
Fire.. and dark shadow--- indivisible!
Because of this, the world..
will again.. return to ice...
