Realize

Dear blackened midnight, I need to borrow what's left of your light and find my way to the city. I've got this box that I've wrapped tight; it needs to find its home tonight and nothing's going to stop me. I run in circles every time, I sit back and I close my eyes and try to think of how it's different. If I could only turn back time, just to finally realize this year was better than it should be. If I leaped out of my window, would you be the one to catch me? If I leaped out of my window, would you be the one to laugh at me on my way down?
