Still Sometimes Songtext

If this is the world for whom my father fathers have fought,
If these are the lessons that history has taught,
If this is the price with whom the freedom is bought,
Then these are the days to prove our worth.

Gotta tell you this so you can reminisce,
There is to much dissin, bitchin, fussin and fightin,
No one seems to remember the days,
When we were sitting in the park and having a laugh,
Now we're caught in a fire and we're burning asleep,
Whatever happened to desire to reach something deep,
Whatever happened to the promises we said we'll keep.

Still sometimes I wonder why,
That seemingly pointless cause, I'm looking for is here,
And every time destruction finds a place,
Reality of this hits me right in my face,
I can't depend on my delusion of peoples integrity.

If what is the time but a passing event,
A never ending movement of the loud and silent,
the time of the thought and the time it has spent
A moment went by in a concluding event,
There is no time like now, life is in present,
It doesn't really matter if you wanna be pleasant,
‘cause much of this story before has been told,
And some of the issues have been pretty pretty old,
But it's you, yes you that I'm talking to,
You gotta stay true to the things you do.

Still sometimes I wonder why,
That seemingly pointless cause, I'm looking for is here,
And every time destruction finds a place,
Reality of this hits me right in my face,
I can't depend on my delusion of peoples integrity.
