Train Left The Station Songtext
Train left the station and so did my mind
It was a confusing sense of feeling
Even if you'd call it that
I should have checked out a long time Ago
But I kept on coming back
You see I felt that you worth my time
All of these memories that keep filling my mind
They help me to find a sense of purpose
I'd been lacking for a while
And I've been told by many of my friends
That I've been doing just fine
But I doubt that
And I've been telling myself I'm doing alright
But sometimes its fine to lay down and cry
My body my blood all these things left undone
Did you mean it when you said that you'd had enough
We laughed about the cat that used to live in the house down the road
But since you've gone away
I just don't see him anymore
It wasn't so much about the cat
It was about the life we could have had
With all these things we mutually adored
Well my mind left the station and so did the train
But I've been holding onto anger love and lust
Mixed in with the pain
Of knowing that I might never be loved by you again
It's all there more reason to ask you why
Why I've been telling myself I'm doing alright
But darlin' it's night time and I'm sleeping on my own
My body, my blood, all these things left undone
Did you mean it when you said that you'd had enough
You trusted me when things were good
But all that went away when the shit hit the fan
And the lights blacked out on the stage
There's nothing else I could have done to show you how I was the one
To help you find your happy place
But the train left the station and I said my goodbyes
It was hard to know you left
Before our limits reached the skies
You checked out a long time Ago
And I suppose that's alright
You made this bed I have to sleep in for a couple nights and that's fine
All my love has gone away from here
You said it was nothing this feeling remains
I'll pack my things and I'll be on my way
Oh these things I've been holding on keep my heart at bay
And I never got the chance to say
My body, my blood, all these things left undone
Did you mean it when you said that you'd had enough
It was a confusing sense of feeling
Even if you'd call it that
I should have checked out a long time Ago
