The Road Most Traveled Songtext

My head's feeling pressure
from all sides,
my body's bending backwards,
and it feels like i might break.

and if life's is a game,
it's a game of give and take.
but how much can one take
of giving and giving and giving.

I may be down,
but i'm not out.
and when I write these words,
and I hear your voice,
I know there's still a reason to believe.

I've traveled this road a thousand times
but it never quite looks the same.
and I see the same faces,
but they all just seem surreal.

because the weight of the world
can shatter the strongest glass.
...and you all look so foreign
through teary eyes and broken glass.

that's when I drive away,
away from this fucking place...
fast isn't fast enough,
and the loneliness is just too much.

but then I hear him say,
"the one thing that stays the same,"
and I don't feel so cold,
because somewhere someone felt this way

I may be down,
but i'm not out.
and when I write these words,
and I hear your voice,
I know there's still a reason to believe.

there's still one thing....
that I can believe in.

it's a special thing that we have here,
and it's worth every second.
because at the end of the day
this music will still exist.

...and sometimes it's just that hope,
the hope that we'll at least subsist,
that keeps my heart beating
and keeps this pen moving
